So Many Shirts and Only One Body

"Put A Shrimp On the Barbie!"

I always thought of Australia as some sort of strange land where winter occurs in the middle of the calendar year and the water spirals differently and it used to initially house criminals and weird creatures like a mammal that actually lay eggs. Oh, wait... it actually is the case. Australia is a dandy place. You get to see Ayer's rock and scoff like an unwanted tourists, "wot? Is that it, then? Well, I'm gonna get me a can of Foster's."

The Land Down Under also hosts artists like Torso, which I'm pretty sure we posted before. The mates at Torso has a better navigation layout but still not enough t-shirts. So buy shirts from them and they'll print more new ones. That's the circle of life, see?

You might also remember People Like Us (again, pretty sure we posted about them before). now they are in the business much longer than Torso, thus their large and eclectic line of shirts. Their summer lineup for 2008 is up. Buy a shirt, save on suntan lotion (though, beware of a farmer's tan).

But you know what I'm waiting for? Pardon My Hindi's new lineup. Their last announcement was "New Shirts Coming Very Soon." This was August 2007. How soon is PMH's soon? Are they living in another dimension where time flows differently?

Son of A Warm, Stiff Upper Lip

"Sonouvabitch, another mustache-themed shirt site again?" you bemoan. "Is he retarded? Does he have some sort of facial hair fetish?"

Look. My sexual predilection aside, chalk this one up to mere serendipity. After the e-mail from Mustache and Friends, an e-mail from Fuzzy Ink settled into my in-box and their designs were too good to pass up like a Rhett Butler lookalike shaving.

They even have a coupon code that you have to answer a mustache-related trivia question on to get a discount. That's right, schoozners. You gotta work for your money.

A Warm, Stiff Upper-Lip

I want to abstain from cracking wise about mustaches and free rides (snigger) so, instead, I'll post about Mustache and Friends doing the unthinkable by verving from their mustache-themed lineup by having 80s Eddie, designed by Derek Deal, for a presale.

Man, was the eighties as horrible as I imagined it to be?

Monies: US$20 (pre-sale) US$25 (normal sale)

Where is the Jaunty Scamp?

I've been busy. I originally planned to have a whole week of one word type t-shirts but that has been scuttled. I apologize for people trying to get in touch with me but I've been busy of late. Juggling world domination and chlamydia is never easy (ladies, I kid about the chlamydia).

For now, sate yourself with James Anthony's work. Apparently, Augusten Burroughs, the writer of Running With Scissors can't get enough of him.

What I Got - Tasty Tees' Radiohead

Did I mention that I got this in the mail from Tasty Tees?

Did I also mention Tasty Tee have an offer where you mail them your own t-shirt and choose any of their designs to be printed on said t-shirt for only US$7, which includes shipping and handling?

Didn't think so.

Revelation 12:11

This is a first for this site - a post with a Christian theme.

I don't celebrate Christmas -- I'm not Jewish, thanks for asking -- I just don't wanna fall into the commercialization pitfall that usually occur around this time. And it's not Jesus' birthday either, never was. It's a pagan holiday under the guise of Christianity that had been hijacked by corporations to hawk their "goods-you-must-get-or-your-life-will-never-be-normal!"

I want a return to the goodwill of Christmas, the whole peace to all in the world. Back to basic.

Faveur Clothing, formed by two brothers, who want to spread the message of joy and truth, through t-shirts and that's good enough for me.

Monies: US$19.95

PS: Place your orders before the end of this year and your shipping will be free. Just enter "freeship" at checkout.

Water-hell Waterloo?

Now I don't hate the new t-shirts from I Love Waterloo, I'm just surprised of their new lineup. The Swimmers Series? Huh. It's a little disparate from their earlier movie and music themed wear but I'll bite. I'm interested to see how this would go.

Monies: US$24.95

Also, PopJunkie released their new winter lineup and you cannot go wrong with guns. Strong, steely phallic guns.

Blues Traveller

It's said that travel broadens the horizon but what if you're a lazy slug like myself? I mean, I know what the leaning tower of Pisa look like from the Travel Channel.

Then there are people with a wanderlust. "Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints," is the phrase they utter. And I reply (mostly out of earshot), "wankers." But that's just me being a fat turd.

T-shirt company, inVIAGGIO travels about and records their adventures on their t-shirt.

Better than a postcard, I say.

The Radiohead Creed

How much did you pay for the latest Radiohead's album? Did you pay according to how awesome the band is or didja scrooge out? It's a fascinating experiment. Giving the consumer a choice. Tasty Tees is back, going the Radiohead route and letting you have a say in how much you wanna pay.

They are accepting orders up till December the 1st, then they'll print and send the tees out to you just in time for the holidays.

The minimum is US$1.00 (for the shipping and handling). And I think the offer is only applicable for US citizens.

Correction: Minimum you have to pay is US$5 and it's only valid for residents in the US. now available for both local and international, as long as your price is greater than US$11 to cover shipping costs.

Monies: It's up to you.

Does This Constitute As Forgery?

I don't know what this design is about. It could be extolling the almighty dollar or warns against the love for money. What I do know it's really pretty.

From Artist Structured Apparel.

Fantastic Fours

Our good friend at Fantastic Bonanza (who also operates the equally fantastic Fantastic Blognanza) have a revamped site and four new designs.

About damn time. Seriously. Sure they like to engage in a little debauchery now and then but come on, at least let one of your releases be a creative one.

There seems to be a new art direction they are undergoing. The designs now have more color and vim to it. The art style is different as well.

I'm crushing on Monster Mash. And still keeping with the whole renovation, newer designed t-shirts are printed on Continental Clothing, which is less creepy than AA.

Monies: US$24

PS: Use the coupon code friend to get 15% off your order.

Yadda Yadda Yadda

Back for now. There'll be a short report on my findings about Thailand but for now, let's see what we have.

PopJunkie have new tees for their Summer lineup like this really attractive Out to Sea t-shirt for the men that makes you wanna saw off your leg and fit it with a peg leg. Also, it also provides you with the right to say, "shiver me timber" without it sounding like an innuendo.

Monies: US$30 - US$35

Dirty Coast is always dealing out new designs that embodies the New Orleans spirit. Take their latest Making Groceries t-shirt, being the idiot that I am, I thought it's along the lines of "making water" but that's not the case. It's a New Orleans expression to mean "food shopping."

But what I wanna bring your attention to The Louis Armstrong Foundation and the Louis Armstrong Summer Jazz Camp For Kids. Dirty Coast is selling tees (above) to help the foundation and I think that's a pretty good way to start the week, don't you think?

Monies: US$22

Finally, we have a party for the cool kids (this means you). [2 one 5] in collaboration with J Shoes will be raising the roof, or whatever it is you kids say. They'll be pumping out fresh rhymes for you to boogie at and also a chance for you to peruse their fine assortment of wares. The shindig is held July 27th. Visit [2 one 5] for more details.

Damn You Joe!

Seeing as how, Joe (I'm so Fantastic that chicks and dudes dig me!) always love to one-up me, I guess I should also point out that Joe introduced a Triskaidekaphobia t-shirt in response to the last post. The t-shirt in question is from Uneetee, who's having a US$12 sale for 12 days.

Many might know Joe from Fantastic Bonanza. They used to sell t-shirts but now they rather talk about them instead.* Nice going, guys!

In other news...

mashPOTATO released two new t-shirts - Chopsticks V.S. Cookie and God of Seafood (above).

Also, I'll be outta town for a few days but I'll try to update whenever I can.

*dripping with sarcasm.

Noooooooooooooooo!

Back then, Teetsy had these awesome t-shirts like Gauntlet and Regrets (posted here) but now those two and others are gone! Gone like a virginity on prom night! O when, when will these sweet sweet t-shirts return, I ask you, when?

It's a good thing that Teetsy came up with new t-shirts like JAGGANATH and WOLF (at US$24). Teetsy also sells cuffs! Wrist ornaments for the ladies!

But this is a t-shirt blog so we must talk of t-shirt things. Here's a new design from Teetsy that will BURN ITSELF UNTO YOUR CHEST!!!*

Monies: US$18

*scars are cool.

Flashback!

Here we are folks, going back in time. We're rushing past the Matrix and X-Men and "Wassup" and Pokemon and finally we reach the age of Transformers. Nerdy Shirts are kicking your asses back to 1984 where owning a Transformer toy doesn't result in a swirlie and now you can own t-shirts that used to be cool in the past but now is even cooler thanks to the Transformer movie! Yaay retro!

Something for the Weekend

More t-shirt news you can shake a big fat stick at!
Nerdy Shirts have t-shirt sale, t-shirts as low as US$5 like Nostalgia. The design of black on Asphalt grey may be hard on your eyes but it sure is easy on your wallet. Cheapo.

Monies: US$5

I love the Office, both the British and Yankee versions of it. So the world is a better place that there are two t-shirts in tribute to that.

First up, we have Lancoliame with their homage, which goes to show even people from other lands have a sense of humor. Lancoliame uses Spreadshirt printing.

Then secondly, we have Snorg Tees with Scrantonicity. Based on Kevin's cover band of the Police, a portmanteau (look it up the Internet) of Scranton, Pennsylvania and the Police album, Synchonicity.

Monies: Lancoliame's The Office - US$26.98 - US$30, Scrantonicity - US$16.95

My favorite webcomic, A Softer World have new t-shirts that will provoke you into thinking.

'nuff said.

New News

1. Tasty Tees have a summer t-shirt party where they will have a meet-and-greet of MyWhiteWall.com artists and will be selling their summer 2007 line. Do make an appearance on June 28th, from 6 - 9 PM at Madam X Lounge 94 W Houston St. (at LaGuardia Place).

2. Some kind reader directed us to this brand from Mexico city. It's called NaCo and I would put up an image or two but the site is in flash, which is my kryptonite but take my word for it, some of the designs are pretty nice.

3. Florian from Munich, Germany likes to refer to himself in the third person when he writes in his e-mail, "Here is a cool Shirt from Munich art student Florian Baumgartner."

It kinda look like it sprung from the mind of a Discordian, no? You can order this t-shirt via Baumgartner's e-mail address on his site.

Monies: 15 Euro or around US$20.

4. I love these Asian-centric t-shirts from Singaporean site, Fuchsia Lane. Designs are very limited and expensive but IMHO, it's worth it. I can't afford it but I know one of you readers have expensive taste.

Monies: About US$32 for the ladies and US$36 for the men. US$57 for the pair.

5. Tees My Body did some re-designing on some of their products like Jheri Curled Yoda but their latest Caruso CSI: Miami t-shirt...

... just brings me to this.

O Caruso, what the hell happened to you after NYPD Blue?

Monies: US$12.99

6. And finally, remember the last post about Fader's latest photo issue with Jerry Garcia on the cover and the t-shirt to commemorate it with?

Well, Calvin from the promotions department wants to send one lucky winner a Jerry Garcia t-shirt designed by Si Scott and a limited edition poster.

All you have to do is answer these two questions :

1) Where does designer Si Scott abide in?
2) What's the name of Ben and Jerry's Garcia-inspired ice-cream?

That's it. Really simple.

Send your answers to keyser1812 [at] sbcglobal [dot] net with your name and e-mail address by June 14 midnight. There's not much time so get to it.

Edit: It's over, sucka! Deal with it!

Only one entry per person. If there are more than one correct entry, we'll get a trained monkey to randomly select a winner.
